Ranger and Warrior will too, as they both have many stances to block.

I don't look forward to playing my Paragon in PvE with Necros using Vocal Minority. Cacophany will just be worse.

I see Necro getting nerfed big time before this goes live.

Ouch.... I just realized Vampiric Assault is a Dual Attack, meaning it hits twice. 84 stolen health at 16 Deadly Arts..... wow.
Yeah, it does look overpowered. It could be a neat hex spike; maybe they should reduce uptime to very low. As a pressure skill, it would destroy backline protection builds as a pressure skill. 5e and 5s recycle for 20 seconds uptime? Elite skills don't have that kind of capability. Make it 15e 10 with reduced uptime or keep it 5 energy but reduce uptime to 1-3 seconds and recycle to 15-20. One way or another, a necro that spams this can do more than change the meta: they can 1-skill destroy it.

About HBreeze: no; I wouldn't recommend a decrease in cost, but an increase in uptime. That way it can be used for Dkiss boosts in PvE and improved degen combat in PvP. Its still shatterbait, but any enchantment is.

I know is a rare day that Anet buffs monks (or any support class really), but something has got to give. There are too many skills with potential in the utility Attribute lines that go unused by serious players because that potential has been put down and kept down. I understand that it is a delicate balance between creating skills that will let monks just keep a team up and skills that will turn a good 2-monk backline into God on a stick It is my hope that Anet will--in the future--run more weekend skill balances and that they can work to improve those monk skills that just don't work. Since skills like DD are going to be entering the meta, protection will see more and more pressure to perform. It would be more in everyone's interest--imho--if prot lost some of its godliness when it comes to backline and other attributes could enter the game seriously. The alternative is to keep everything the way it is--including hybrid prot that relies so wholly on its prot spells and a miserably few healing prayers--and nerf every offensive skill that exists or will ever enter the meta to such an extent that prot monks can handle it. This is what we are doing now. The sad thing about this is, prot monks shouldn't be ABLE to handle everything. This is a team game. Prot monks should get help from heal monks, or DF monks, or even extra support from a smiter. Rits can heal if given the chance to. paragons were overpowered before, but the potential for a solid support class is still there.

Its not that I am trying to look backward with my suggestions. I'm trying to look forward and see a time when you will meet any offensive build--not just cookie cutters you swiped from Obs--and those builds can contain any skills--within reason--and win. Such a time--such builds--would equally require that monks and support characters have access to any elite or skill they choose to and not just the ones that aren't gimped this month...

I guess thats all I have to say about that.

Way of the Warrior
Wild Blow
Critical Defenses
Critical Eye
Sharpen Daggers
Way of the Assassin
Critical Chop
Rez

It can and will be used, but not necesarily a lot. I also see a lot of use for it in the Critical Barrage builds. Lots of good builds for Assassins using a weapon other than Daggers.

Some of those skills seem great additions some seem a little less good. Some are logical additions such as: Purifing Viel, Smite Condition, Volley as non elite Barrage, Disrupting shot etc. (although conjure Earth is still missing )

However i can see several skills in a need of tweeking:
Way of the Warrior is going to cause some serious overpowered creations, it needs the addition of another requirement, like they must be under an enchantment, since as it is its more powerful that the Elite version designed for use with Daggers. (although it would probally still be overpowered)

Atrophy is going to cause Sever problems for Rangers and Eles etc. a good potential solution is to increase the recharge quite considerablly. 45 sec recharge, then its fine.

Athem of Disruption is another overpowered skill thats going to cause HUGE problems for casters.

Holy Spear im guessing is the new way of demoting MMs, increase the Adrenaline considerably and then its better balanced.

Cacophony & Defile Defenses should really be in the Mesmer line of skills since there versions of Backfire and Cluminess, Mesmers have little to nothing to stop Paragons and have been given mainly just more interupts.

Signet of Recall needs to lose one of the conditions, either it loses all energy OR it gives u -4 regen of energy, both is way too much.

Glyph of Immolation - Seems a little pointless as it causes only 3 secs of burning and yet most fire skills cause burning for longer than that anyways. Would work better as a skill that Extends burning on your next 3 Fire skills (that cause burning )for 3 seconds instead.

Feral Aggression - perminently maintainable + 33% attack speed and 20 damage!? Very powerful needs weakening, give it a considerable Energy increase to 15 energy and lower the duration to 5....25 duration (@15 BM)

Rapid Fire - Needs being made that it Requires a Bow to use

Grapple - Very overpowered, will cause a great deal of problems for Monks in particular in PvP. Needs double the Cost (10 energy) and a slightly longer recharge.

I can't imagine that Spear Swipe will be released as written, or that it won't be nerfed very soon after release. A 10 energy non-elite non-conditional daze? Wow.

Feral Aggression is very very good, but I think Beast Mastery could use the help.

It looks like Energetic Was Lee Sa is meant to be used in tandem with Attuned was Songkai. AWS has that inconvenient 15 seconds of downtime, and now here is a 15 second non-elite energy management urn spell.

Omg...look at this skill...

Withering Aura - Enchantment Spell. For 5...17...20 seconds, target ally's attacks cause Weakness for 5...17...20 seconds.

This will be awesome for MM's!

I think that Holy Spear is fine the way it is. This skill has obviously been designed for pvp, mainly AB(unless we see AI minion masters in GW:EN). The paragon could use another half decent spear attack, and this is exactly what it is. It does seem a little overpowers, but to put it into perspective, Banishing strike is the only other attack skill that causes holy damage in AOE, so why not add another one. As for the burning, it doesnt really matter, minions already have a degen, whats another couple of points.

As for signet of Recall, i think everyone is missing the point on this skill. It needs both conditions because, has anyone ever heard of swapping weapon sets?If the degen were taken away, a mesmer could to wait till they were at say, 5 energy, use this skill, swap to a higher energy set, gain that energy, plus the energy from the skill. If the loose all anergy was taken away, then the mesmer would gain the 20+energy, and just not be able to gain energy for 10s,(a small price to pay).

oh and like sumone said...where is conjur earth? we have the earth weapons....and have had them since before dervishes came out with that elite skill.

Im loving the new healing prayers skills! They should allow healing monks to become as useful as prot monks in PVE (and in PVE too actually ).

Also loving shell shock.

Twin attunement, Shell shock > Lightning orb > Lightning hammer

Volly + Ignite arrows would be a serious overpowered Combo if Volley didnt remove Preps, since each one would trigger AoE splash damage, and so all the targets would be hit by numerious AoE splashs.

[skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill] always worked with barrage and it hasn't really been a major issue. It's great for pve but I'd be surprised if people clumped up consistently enough for it to work in pvp.

Splinter weapon works basically with just 1 shot of Barrage (depending on how many u hit), Ignite arrow works for all attacks for 24 seconds.

I just checked Dervish-skills and they look awesome. These EotN skills look very powerful, how about balance with chars who don't own EotN?

Hmm... Rapid Fire + Needling shot = Machine Gun.

Consider these on a crit assassin perhaps...

Being an assassin, I'm sizing Way of the Warrior up. It looks beautiful...im thinking a scythe wielding build using Way of the Warrior + Way of the Assassin! It will be INSANE! Aside from that, Atrophy and Energy Blast look uber..."I meant to do that" will automatically go good with Grapple. And if this is supposed to be level 20+ content, wheres the elite skills? I dont like not seeing new elite skills...

I think these look like a great start. Keep up the good work anet!! I'd love to see the pve only and the elites as well. Hopefully they don't nerf these too bad - I like the looks of them.
